HOW TO TREAT YOUR PRODUCTS
PAINTING & FINISHING
The paint used on our product is strong and durable and is finished with a resistant polish. The paint can be compromised if submitted to repeated stress, including but not limited to persistent scratching, rubbing, pulling, or if exposed to liquids or sustained direct sunlight.
Although naturally the paint doesn’t stain or fade and the products are built for everyday use, therefore the products have to be treated with love and care. Suede, however, cannot be treated with any finishing and therefore, although the paint sinks into the leather pores and gets a solid root, no protective coating is applied and consequently, the painted area has to be strictly protected from the above described conditions.

LEATHER & UPHOLSTERY FABRIC
Leather is a natural product, and, as such, each hide will reflect its own individuality. Some variations of shade and tone are to be expected as are the nicks, scratches, and wrinkles that only occur in genuine leather; these characteristics are in no way to be considered a defect. Leather, like your skin, is inherently elastic and some stretching can take place which is perfectly normal.
These Limited Warranties do not cover tears, flattening of nap, pilling, fading, or shrinking and is not valid when heavy soiling or abuse is evident.
These Limited Warranties also do not cover protective finishes, velvets, and velvet types, since by their very nature, these fabrics are of soft texture and will crush, shade and mark more readily than most fabrics; these characteristics are in no way to be considered a defect.
CUSHIONING
The foam and fibre fillings to be free from abnormal loss of resiliency.
Cushioning will soften with normal use and will conform to the shape of the user. This shall be considered normal wear and shall not be considered a loss of resiliency or a material manufacturing defect.

GENERAL TIPS
CORRECT USAGE:
NEVER sit on the arms of the chair.
Furniture with decorative trims will require special care.
Remember, fringing & valances are prone to snagging by heels, vacuum cleaners, pets, etc.
Furniture will suffer with harsh treatment.
Please DO take care with heels and zips on clothing etc
Much of our upholstery features gathering along certain sewing seams, known as
“Comfort wrinkles” this is a random process & will vary from one part of a chair to another.
MAXIMUM SAFE WEIGHT LIMIT OF 130KG
UPHOLSTERY CARE
Zips are fitted on many cushions to aid manufacture only; covers are not designed to be removed.
Be careful with rings, buckles, bracelets, etc. They can all catch on your upholstery. If one of the yarns is snagged,
simply cut it short, it will be less noticeable.Your furniture has been designed to be sat on in comfort, so please use it correctly. Sitting on the edge of the seat cushion and arms will cause premature wearing and distortion of the fillings. The arms in particular come in for a good deal of wear over the years. Try not to rub your hands over them continually .Head pillows can also suffer from soiling by hair oil or grease. Please use a headrest cover if necessary
GENUINE LEATHER:
If you have chosen genuine leather furniture, it is essential to realise that the natural characteristics of leather mean that no two hides are ever alike. Although great care is taken to select the hides, it would be impossible and undesirable to obscure all the natural markings, remember these are the living proof of genuine leather.
CREASING & STRETCHING:
Leather is inclined to stretch and will show as creasing to cushion tops. On deep buttoned furniture this can lead to the opening of pleats, this is not a fault but is normal for this type of upholstery
NATURAL MARKS:
These are not faults, they are features of genuine leather.
If your cushions are fibre filled, restore the original shape by flipping and ‘puffing out’ the cushions and pillows regularly. Furniture with a high fabric pile can become flattened in pressure areas such as the armrests. Steam from a boiling kettle will help to raise the crushed pile again. After a while you will notice the foam in the seat cushions will soften by at least 20% of its original hardness … enjoy the comfort of furniture that is now ‘worn-in’.
Fabric and leather on the seats will stretch over time, this can be rectified by smoothing out the high use areas on a regular basis.
SUNLIGHT:
Upholstered furniture should not be exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise fading of the fabric or leather can occur. Protect it by drawing the curtains or blinds or by simply placing away from windows.
REGULAR CLEANING:
Even light dust and dirt will increase wear on the fabric and can dull the colours, giving a faded appearance. Occasionally vacuum your upholstery and go over it with a soft brush. NEVER use a stiff fibre or metal brush as this will damage fabric.
CARE OF LEATHER:
Remove surface dust with a soft duster. If soiled use a damp cloth and dry immediately with a soft cloth. Regular cleaning and conditioning of the leather with a proprietary brand leather care product will prolong the life of your furniture.
First determine what type of leather you have purchased as the cleaning of leather varies with each type of leather.
CONDITIONING:
DO NOT use spray polish or other chemically based products avoid saddle soap or abrasive cleaners of any description.
WET CLEANING:
Wet cleaning is not recommended unless otherwise specified. Do not attempt to wash your furniture. This can cause colours to bleed and if the padding becomes damp, staining and interior damage can result. For small stains on fabric use a proprietary stain remover.
Remember that different types of leather (e.g., full-grain, top-grain, suede) may require slightly different care methods, so it's essential to identify the type of leather you're dealing with and follow care instructions specific to that type when available. Proper care and maintenance can extend the life and beauty of your genuine leather products for many years.
Like with all handmade products and natural materials, the ageing process for paint as well as leather, could slightly change features over time and with regular use, especially with products like handbags and purses.
The appliqués are composed of different elements, individually hand cut, hand painted and manually assembled, making every decoration one of a kind. The leather appliqués as well as their painted areas, will modify their features over time and through use, giving the product a distinctive look and reflection of the owner’s lifestyle.
High quality leather develops a patina, a shimmer on the surface, creating a personality to the product like an enduring symbol of ownership unique for every user. Over time all effects of natural use, from the distressed look of scratches and scuffs to the changing shade in some places and the moulding of a shape, contribute to creating a timeless piece with its own unique personality. The patina is just a manifestation of the natural ageing process of a natural product; it does not affect the longevity, in fact, on the contrary, it only increases the charm of the product.
We cannot accept liability for damage or defect resulting from failure to comply with the above advice & instructions.
